As Chelsea Factory’s pop-up journey winds down this spring, join us to celebrate our community of artists, friends, neighbors, staff, and supporters!
Chelsea Factory launched in the fall of 2021 during an unprecedented time to provide responsive support to New York City-based artists from historically excluded communities. Since opening our doors, Chelsea Factory has served 5,000+ NYC-based artists; proudly welcomed over 50,000 audience members back to live performances; produced over 300 public performances and free events; and partnered with nearly 200 artistic and community organizations.

About Chelsea Factory:
Chelsea Factory exists to provide responsive partnership to NYC-based artists from historically excluded communities. Launched as a pop-up initiative in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chelsea Factory has welcomed artists and organizations across all creative disciplines to experiment and perform work they find essential. Our support has been customized to each collaborator, with resources including subsidized rehearsal and performance space, production support, and career mentorship. Our programming reflects the values of NYC artists today and has evolved to meet our community’s needs.

Masks are optional.
While Chelsea Factory strongly recommends vaccination against COVID-19, proof of vaccination is not currently required for audience entrance to performances and public programs.
